BEP Participates in Real Estate Symposium
Monday, June 21, 2010

Reading, PA - Deb Heffner, Economic Development Coordinator at Berks Economic Partnership (BEP), recently attended the CoreNet 2010 Eastern Regional Symposium (ERS) in Philadelphia.  CoreNet is a worldwide association for corporate real estate professionals with chapter organizations throughout the United States including Philadelphia.  The event was attended by over 300 professionals in corporate, commercial, and industrial real estate from the eastern region of the United States.

PPL Corporation sponsored Heffner’s attendance at the 2010 ERS event.  The sponsorship enabled Heffner to participate in an exclusive networking event and meet new real estate industry contacts and re-establish existing relationships with site location experts.  Heffner also attended two days of ERS workshops and participated in additional outreach events.

One of BEP’s key goals is to market Berks County and the Greater Reading area to business location decision-makers such as site selectors, corporate real estate experts, commercial and industrial realtors, and developers.  The purpose is to attract new companies and jobs to Greater Reading in order to sustain a vibrant and prosperous local economy.  BEP also works closely with existing companies that have growth and expansion needs.
