RMK Solar Teams with Power Sport Industries on Major Solar Project

Reading, PA - RMK Solar and Power Sport Industries (dba All Balls Racing), unveiled a large solar photovoltaic (PV) power system at the PSI manufacturing facility in New Berlinville, PA. The new rooftop solar power system will significantly reduce the company’s utility operating expenses while demonstrating their ongoing commitment to green technology.
RMK Solar, located in Wyomissing, consulted with PSI and installed the 123 KW system which will satisfy approximately 75 to 100 percent of PSI’s annual electricity usage. The large solar project was funded primarily through federal and state incentive programs designed to encourage alternative energy uses. State Representative David R. Kessler, 130th Legislative District, was instrumental in supporting the project and securing State funds that enabled the project to move forward. Roughly 60% of the project was funded through various grant programs, and PSI will realize a positive cash position in the first year due to reduced energy costs and the sale of Alternative Energy Credits.
Rob Kline, President of RMK Solar, was enthusiastic about the project and the possibility of doing other large-scale solar projects in Berks County and the region. Kline said, “Energy independence makes sense financially and environmentally. Our team of experts will conduct an energy audit and then design and install a custom solar power system to meet your company needs. The cost payback analyses that we have done for dozens of local businesses have been very compelling. For a small investment in solar energy, you can reap huge financial savings.”
