Heller Honored with Executive Spotlight Award

Merv Heller, Shareholder and Managing Partner at Leisawitz Heller law firm, was recently awarded the Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal’s (EPBJ) Executive Spotlight Award. The award recognizes business professionals who personify the ideals of business excellence and community service. A reception and ceremony to honor the winners was held at the Agri-Plex Center in Allentown.
Heller has practiced law in Berks County for over thirty years and has served on the Boards of numerous community organizations. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee for Berks Economic Partnership, a local economic development agency that promotes the Greater Reading area for business attraction, retention, and expansion.
In recent years, Heller served as a Board Member of the Greater Berks Development Fund, Chairman of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry (formerly the Berks County Chamber of Commerce), and legal counsel to the Berks County Convention Center Authority, the County Solid Waste Authority, and the Berks County Industrial Development Authority. In 2001 and 2002, Heller was President, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and chaired the U.S. Open.
The EPBJ, which covers business news in several eastern and northeastern Pennsylvania counties, praised Heller for his dedication and commitment to community service and volunteer work.
