Reading, PA July 13, 2009 – BusinessWeek.com recently named the Reading area as one of America’s Best Affordable Places to Retire. The ranking was determined by looking at zip codes across the country with high concentrations of wealthy seniors as well as cost of living factors such as housing affordability, proximity to quality health care, golf courses, cultural activities, shopping, and transportation. Reading, PA was rated #7 in the United States as an affordable place to retire behind Tucson, AZ; Richmond, VA; Overland Park, KS; Apache Junction, AZ; Jekyll Island, GA; and Pinehurst, NC.
