Shupp Named to PEDA Board

Reading, PA January 22, 2009 - Pamela J. Shupp, Vice President of Berks Economic Partnership, was named Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association (PEDA).
PEDA is the statewide association of local, state, corporate and non-profit economic development professionals. PEDA’s mission is to promote sound economic development policies, provide leading edge economic development education, and nurture an effective statewide economic development network to foster the economic health of the Commonwealth.
“PEDA is indeed fortunate to have Pam on the Board of Directors as Secretary Treasurer. She is a very talented professional who brings refreshing energy and experience to PEDA. She also serves as Membership Co-Chair and has had a positive impact on our 380 Members. I am so glad she is on the Executive Committee and know she will be a valuable asset in the leadership of PEDA,” said Robert Blair, newly elected President of the PEDA Board of Directors.
A native of Berks County, Shupp joined BEP in 2006 with more than 20 years of experience in economic and community development. Shupp received her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Urban and Regional Planning from Bloomsburg University. Shupp also earned certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
