Since 2005, thousands of jobs were created or retained in Greater Reading due to the collaboration between Berks Economic Partnership (BEP) and other local economic development agencies. Economic revitalization is gaining momentum in our community and will favorably impact every facet of our lives.

Economic Development Fact:
Every 100 manufacturing or fabrication jobs that are created in Greater Reading generates roughly $20 million in total economic output.
This includes over $1,000,000 for housing; $425,000 for utilities, fuel, and public service; $434,000 for personal insurance and pension; almost $490,000 on food at home; and over $500,000 for vehicle purchases per year.
